The screenshots below are examples of buyers of domains from the past few months that have either developed their sites, or purchased an upgrade domain and have redirected their acquisition to an existing website.
Limata.com sold for $7,735 at Sedo, and the domain was an upgrade from Limata.de for the German company. “Limata GmbH, headquartered in Munich/Ismaning (Germany), is a provider of Direct Imaging System solutions for the global PCB manufacturing industry and adjacent markets.”
GetBioFuel.com sold for $7,000 at Sedo, and you won’t be surprised what this site is about. “E15 is good for our air, engines & wallets. You may not think of it often, but what you put in your car matters. Next time you fill up, switch to biofuels.” It appears they rebranded from the more specific GetEthanol.com.
SmarterClick.com sold for $6,000 at Sedo, and the domain was an upgrade from SmarterClick.co.uk for the company based in London. “Smarter Click specialise in cutting-edge remarketing services. We work with online advertisers, just like you, to reach out to more customers and win new business using a range of performance based remarketing and retargeting tools”.
SmartInvestors.com sold for $5,355 at Sedo, and the site is still under development, but they’re starting to promote themselves with messages like, “Our Readers are making millions of dollars on our Crypto Currency and Marijuana Stocks!”
ScottC.com sold for $4,165 at Sedo, and the owner is under privacy protection. Can’t buy your first name.com? Or your first name + last name.com? Maybe first name + last initial is the best that’s currently available. In this case, “Scott Campbell (Scott C) is a maker of paintings, illustrations, comics, kid’s books and video games.” Scott.com is owned by an individual named Steve Scott, while ScottCambell.com is owned by an individual named, you guessed it, Scott Campbell.
OwnChat.com sold for $3,500 at Sedo, and the domain was an upgrade from Ownchat.de. They describe themselves as, “a messaging solution from beyondSoft GmbH for companies and organizations with a special focus on data protection“.
