Some people have been saying that there will be less money coming into the aftermarket space because of the purchasing of the new gTLD. I certainly haven’t seen it as the names I like are going for more than ever. Names that I could have gotten for a few hundred are going for $600 plus. The only two types of names I have seen a big fall in price are dot nets and the exact match 3 word and product names. They aren’t making any money parking and they’re too specific to be a brand. They’re being dumped and not really getting good prices. But the short dot coms are doing just fine at auction. While I’m paying attention to the new names I’m not taking my eye off the real money. As long as I’m making money I’m not worried about what I might miss. Here are today’s names.
BurningFarts.com Lighting the stink since 1999
P31.com 14 years old. Starter program for the people too out of shape for P90X
42S.com Another CCC. Who’s buying these you ask? Everyone on Godaddy and Namejet
CoffeeDeal.com Just watch Starbucks and you’ll know the value of coffee domains. Through in a deal/coupon site and you’ve got a solid name IMO
WeCleanWindows.com 9 years old. No bidders. I thought this was a pretty good marketing name for a cleaning/maid company at $12. You know. The “we don’t do windows” thing.
MasterYourFear.com Not sure what you’d do with it but pretty popular term and only one bidder
OHTT.com Solid letters. 9 years old. That’s all I got
BigSharing.com Sharing is certainly the future and might as well go big. Just a few bidders
Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $1.99 Dot Com Registration Techno
L-A.com When I first started tracking auction I didn’t think many people would want these. I was completely wrong. Still as liquid as any short name. 18 years old
JSRA.com 17 years old. Maybe you can milk the Jet Ski Racing Association for a little money
TheShirt.com I think this could hit $ 3-4K.
YourTune.com No bidders. 15 years old. Hard to imagine someone doesn’t want this for $70
MarketingClass.com Surprised how high the CPC was for this one $17
FaceLifted.com Not sure if I like the past tense but worth keeping an eye on
Stripping.net It’s my next job if this domain thing doesn’t work out
84e.com I’ve made it pretty clear I like these types of names
WIRS.com Radio call letters or just a nice acronym
