Small list today. I sold yet another two domains this past week. This time one of them was from Toby’s newsletter (floridahomeloans) . A potential buyer saw it on his list and we negotiated a deal (yes I am paying Toby full commission). The second was to a company to upgrade their domain name. I had reached out to them with the name and price. I didn’t negotiate much. I merely said I had it for sale and it was X,XXX price. They wired money into my account that same day. It was a hell of a January. Because of the sales I have kind of been taking it easy. Writing even less than I normally have. Between all the domain work, name hunting, and nursery work, not as much time for writing. Here are today’s names and the daily quote.
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing” -Walt Disney
Television.cc No bidders. I know the extension is crap but I’m going to take a flyer on it if nobody else does. Instead of betting on the Ravens today I am going to put my money in dot cc domains.
ConcreteMedic.com Concrete needs fixing all the time. For $25 I’m pretty sure you could sell this to a guy that already has this name or wants to start a concrete repair company and needs a good brand
CreativeStorm.com It sounded like a good brand to me and after Googling it I realized 10 or 20 companies agree with me. They just don’t own the dot com
ThinBooks.com No bidders. Several uses for this short two word dot com. Books that are actually thin and thin notebook computers. 10 year old domain
gold.cc Hell, if I like television I guess I ought to like gold.
Pay.cc This one is getting all the action because cc can mean credit cards. At least that is what I am assuming
CordBloodCenters.com For $12 not a bad number to help people find cord blood banks.
Go Daddy Featured Offer! Save 47%* off your order! Offer Ends 2/12/13!
YankeeClipper.com Plenty of places and things named this. Also Mark Wahlberg’s nickname in The Other Guys because he shot Derek Jeter
HomeChef.com I have a home chef. Also known as my wife
uInvent.com For only $119 we’ll help you take your invention from idea to millions in sales
Shane, interesting note about the domain ‘upgrade’ sale. Can you please elaborate a bit more on that strategy. For example did you have a shorter keyword based domain name than the buyer’s existing domain or was your domain a more ‘brand’ based name that was a better fit for the buyer?
What is the value of .cc domain names?
Furkat,
I’m not sure. If I knew I would be either rich or or would avoid wasting my money
Congrats on such a successful January, Shane!
A week or so ago you mentioned how you’ll be detailing the process of one of your sales. Looking forward to that, when you find the time 🙂
