We’ve been spending 25% of our year now at altitude. Over 10,000 feet. Here are some things I’ve learned about altitude
Ultraviolet is no joke. You get burned here much faster than even Hawaii. Skin cancer rates are 30% higher
It’s bright. Especially in the winter. Low humidity dries your eyes out but add in the reflection on the snow and they get fried if you don’t have sunglasses all the time. Snow blindness is real and not just when skiing
You get dehydrated quickly. New people get stomach and body aches and it’s always from dehydration
People are skinnier. Altitude makes you less hungry but the real reason is people here generally live here because they love the outdoors and get more exercise than most places in the US.
The average lifespan is longer here by 2 years. Because of the above. Thin makes you live longer
If you have a heart condition it would not be wise to live above 10,000 feet. If you don’t your heart will get much stronger
There is 24% or more less oxygen. You become stronger because of it. The body adapts. I feel like a superhero at sea level
Foods take longer to cook at altitude.
Bread dries out quicker
The microwave actually can cook much faster. Depends on what’s in it. I still don’t have it down. Some things take half as long, some take much longer
Now that you’re prepped for you next ski location, lets get to the domains

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

I ran through Garden of the Gods and did a 10 miler. Felt like a marathon
