I have been crushing it day trading this month until I wasn’t. My stops and sells have been perfect. In and out at the right times, a few that couldn’t have gotten any better. Then came Wednesday and Thursday. Literally every single trade I had, had the stop hit and then reversed higher. Not once, not twice, but at least 5 times. I made it worse by opening up the spread and lowering the stop, but they still found it. I had a horrible trade in $ABNB. I bought it, and the stock sank on a negative newsletter and then rose back up. I took one 8-minute shower and my 4000 shares had dumped 3 points and then came back up. When I looked at the stock I thought it was down a little and realized my stop had been hit and I lost $12K. I know the question is how can you leave that much riding or even trade at that size. It’s what I do. I’ve always done.
I am usually a big size and scalp a little here and there trader. I try and make $500 to $1000 a day and actually do 80 out of 100 days. The problem is the past few days set me back a month. Disheartening because I didn’t do anything different than what I do on successful days. Positive because stops are there for a reason and it could have gone way done and cost me more. Negative because I need to let some of these trades finish out. I buy them for plays for a few hours or maybe a day which I have been great at picking. I’m just not letting them ride out and letting the winners run. Like domains I need those winners to keep running to pay for the losses.
We’ll start again after the holidays and work on the process. It’s been a while since I did day trading and have to get back to what it takes mentally.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Try selling out of the money call and put spreads on QQQ (Iron condors). Super liquid, tight spreads, daily options now, less volatile, etc. Nice daily/weekly income. 0.1-0.15 delta works well.
