Not a lot of chit chat today because once again we had a crazy storm. We’ve been getting some doozies this month. The problem is they are so bad some of the crews can’t make it in to help. The winds howl and turn 6″ snows into 4 foot drifts. Add in a 35 degree temp drop at night to below zero which turns everything to a sheet of ice. Lovely. I’ve said this a million times. I do it all for the employees. We only plow so they can have year round jobs. It’s impossible for me to sit at home and do nothing while they work. I might as well help. I am not the kind of person that hires someone to do something at my house and tries to help. But when my crews are out its different. Its mine. I personally don’t need the money. I’d much rather sell a monkey and not work all year but life is more than money. It’s about leaving a legacy. The nursery is a legacy and until I find someone else to keep the legacy going its on me. So a plowing I go. And I better sell a damn domain name. The last 4 days of plowing I sold nothing. The tradition is about to end.
