Data. It’s what users love. It’s what Godaddy is missing. Honestly, Godaddy is missing so much. It’s a horrible experience and you don’t realize how bad it is until others started introducing their tools. When you go to SquadHelp you get to see who saw your name. How many people looked twice, three times? Did your name get put on a shortlist. So much info about how your name is being discovered. Godaddy/Afternic? Barely usable as a product and new introductions or versions are broken.
The important part of Godaddy is getting into that registration and search pathway. They are by far the biggest registrar and millions pass through. You want to be in front of them. If you combined the userbase of Godaddy and the tools of Squadhelp it would be unbelievable. I say this but Godaddy has purchased an amazing registrar and sales platform in Uniregistry took exactly zero of the tech and shut it down. One of the biggest wastes in domain history. Then comes Dan. Dan was moving so fast and so well towards a beautiful platform and boom. Bought and the same thing. Zero tech was brought and shut down.
Godaddy is big but from the standpoint of user-friendly tech they have greatly hurt the industry. Buying and closing down innovation. To the point, I feel they are probably very careful from this point on about monopolistic actions. I am not sure they would even be allowed to buy Dynadot, Squadhelp or Namecheap. I’m speaking out my ass and pretty sure that none of those would ever sell to Godaddy but as I work with the amazing employees of Godaddy I only think. You deserve better, not a better company. I’m sure within its a fantastic company. I mean technology and tools.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
