Sold a pretty good domain this week. MonkeyWrench dot com. It was at BIN and probably a bit low for today’s market but I’ve had it a while and nice to get some cash. It was listed at Brandbucket for $45K ish so you can figure out what it sold for. I’ll be putting a little in taxes and put it back into some names. I need to build the portfolio back up a bit. I hit my six figure mark for the year which has made it 3 years straight now. Not a lot of for many domain investors but for someone who does this for one of his many businesses its not a bad additional income. The key is keeping the portfolio strong so there is income and profit AND you keep the portfolio as good or better than it was the year before. My portfolio is still really strong but this was a good one that needs replacing. One of the domains was a dot eth. 661.eth I sold for 18 eth and had 3 eth in it so between the two I have enough to buy a really good domain and have some profit left after taxes. The other key is I don’t have to pay bills with the money. This is all for extra income and can be reinvested or used to purchase other things. All that being said, it feels as good today as it did on my first one, to get that email “Your Domain Has Sold!!!!!”

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Congrats Shane and thanks for sharing! Curious to know how large your portfolio is these days? Over 500 domains?
Thank you . Still at 500 domains
