I’m constantly blown away by how many incredible people are on X and Instagram. I get hundreds of DMs, but every once in a while, one comes through from someone legit, and we actually have something in common. I always ask for a call, even if I’m unsure it’ll lead to business. And every time, I get something out of it. I learn something new, meet an interesting person, or even find someone to collaborate with on a project. Just in the past week, I found a video editor, a possible brand deal, and connected with someone who’s going to sell plants he breeds through one of my domains. Following up on every conversation is how you find the good stuff. I may not do a lot of things well, but I can hold a good conversation. My family might disagree, though—I’ve heard all their stories already! 😂
