This is your regular reminder that when it comes to investments one of the best things you can do is nothing. If you’re doing something it should be reallocation and/or putting a little bit more in each time period. Prices and markets go up and down and if you react to every event you are almost certainly going to miss as many or more ups than downs. If you have the constant need to protect your assets then you might reevaluate where you have those assets. If you are not protecting your gains or even taking them, then that too is probably not great money management. The wealthiest people I know have an income source and take a little bit of that income source and put it into other investments. A little bit every time. Some call it dollar cost averaging but it’s just putting in a little every time period. 11% per paycheck over an entire career has ALWAYS yielded well.
I have employees who made much less than management, yet they put away 10% of their check into an IRA and have a lot more savings than people who made twice their salary. Add in the company matches 3% and it grows even more. 30 years later they have hundreds of thousands of dollars, one over a million that put it into a highly aggressive Vangard fund. These are Mexican women who watered plants. Many of their years for only $15 an hour.
A trickle of water can carve a hole in stone with time if you leave it alone. A trickle of money, every week for decades, can change your financial future. I myself thought, if they can put it away, I can to. People find a way to spend the last 10% of your check but you most likely don’t. You probably don’t need the last 10% of anything. Take away 10% of your house. You’re fine. A car worth 10% less? Not that big of a deal. Don’t throw on that bag of chips with the sandwich. You won’t go hungry. It’s a bit of a generalization . Of course, there are many families that don’t have enough to eat or shelter, but you get my point. Most of you reading this aren’t going hungry.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
