Merry Christmas to all of you that celebrate. Happy Monday to everyone else. This week is all yours. You can get work down but don’t expect anyone to help you. Even those on the clock are checking out. The only things that will get done are deals that HAVE to happen for tax reasons. Everything else is going to be pushed off until next week.
Most people were like me and had their Christmas parties and time with family this past weekend. I spent mine with my Mom and my inlaws. We lost two grandparents to older age and my wife’s Mom in a car accident so it was a little tougher holiday than usual. I tried to remind everyone to celebrate that we are here to have each other’s company but it’s human nature to miss those that can’t be there. It’s also getting more difficult for the older members to participate. They can’t host anymore and have a little trouble getting to the new locations. It’s part of life but getting older sucks and you are reminded when you get together with family that you don’t see every day and are reminded how old everyone is getting. We’re in between the new generation coming as all our kids are in their 20s. There are over 10 of them so there probably will be new babies coming to Christmas shortly. Taking the focus off the old to the young.
