People laugh because in the history of social media, I am probably the slowest to accept friend requests. I accepted a Facebook request from 5 years ago yesterday. I log into LinkedIn 2 or 3 times a year and think I accepted a few that were over a year old last month. I just don’t use most of them for anything other than to sell. I am on Facebook every day but only to run ads for my businesses and to check engagement. I hardly ever post personally or look at other people’s posts. I definitely don’t use LinkedIn. I’m not really looking for connections. I don’t need a job or leads. I don’t need to build a reputation. I’ve built for better or worse what I’m going to be known for.
I like the follow method better than the friend request thing. Too much pressure to accept people as friends that you really don’t know. Then you got some person that likes your blog seeing photos of your kid. It’s a little creepy. Or some Linked in person that is 3 degrees of separation away trying to sell you something. I have never been a Rotary Club type guy. I used to go but it was all about networking. I’m not great at that. I want my relationships to be built on respecting the skills and accomplishments of others and hearing about how they built them and their stories. I don’t want to be sold. Rotary was half experience and success and half people their to build their book. Instead I just made friends with other successful people and had lunch on Friday’s at the local pub and had some fish and talked business. Way more fun and learned a lot more. Plus the fish is always good.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
