I often start the year with a betting strategy but over the last few years it’s turned into crypto investing strategies. This year I decided to bet against the White Sox every game. $100 a game, every game. When I went to Vegas I upped the number. It was great early season. I won all the bets in Vegas as I had mentioned but when I got back I noticed the team was getting better but the odds were not. I decided to not place the bets because despite the Sox seeming like a 50/50 when they were getting +180. I know what you’re saying, “if the odds are wrong why not move to the other side?”.
This was my thought but my wife HATES me gambling. Doesn’t mind trading options and stock but she doesn’t like sports gambling or tables etc. I caused enough problems with it when we were younger it haunts her. So me switching sides went from a fun thing that didn’t have me thinking or changing amounts, it was a thing. If I started picking games I was back sports gambling. So I was done. It was fortunate because the Sox have gone on a 3 game winning streak and actually are looking good. We’re big Sox fans (and Cubs) so she didn’t like me having money against them every night anyway.
I got started doing same bet all year in dog racing. 1,2,3 quinella box. I would be that every race regardless of odds. Now there are only two dog tracks left in the country and the bet doesn’t translate well to horses because the 123 slots don’t matter in the first turn like they do in dog racing. I know because I worked as a teller taking bets at dog track and horse track and watched 1000s of races. Now I watch 3 or 4 years. All the gambling in my regular day has knocked the racing out of me.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
