Was running the other day and thinking about what made me happy. One of them is being able to do what I want to do when I want to do but there were a few things I like to do every day
- Plant seeds for something good later. One of my goals every day is to do something that with time will be better down the road. It could be adding to a project, doing a task, or anything that will grow with time
- Surround myself with people I admire. I admire my wife more than anyone and I’m around her all day so its a good start. I’ve noticed lately all my friends I admire. I don’t have anyone that I hang out with that I don’t aspire to be more like. I tend to hang out with people I deem “better” than me. Certainly admire them
- Sing. I’m not saying I’m good, but I can often look at my day and tell how good it was based on how much singing I did. I love to sing. Some times I don’t even have the radio on in the car and I just sing. I butcher the heck out of the words but I don’t care. It’s a feeling not a performance
- Laugh. Every day should have a good belly laugh. If you have to go on Tik Tok then so be it. Generally my wife and I can get each other laughing every day. My friends are great at getting funny stories out. There have been very few days in the last decade where I didn’t have a good laugh during the day
That’s all I have. More of a reminder than a guide. Everyone has a different means to happiness but these have served me well. Now on to the domains names
