I was thinking the other day my first days of domains. I was into 4L because of a blog called 4 letter Noob. Every single day he tracked what 4L sold and what was for sale. And came up with a floor price every day. It was the first and the last time I heard the word floor in domains until the Chinese made domains collectible. It was this data and daily reports that got me involved. Its the exact same data that got me into NFTs. I know where I stand with my investments every day and like 4 letter noob, people were informed on price value and you could easily liquidate to others because we had a price chart. NFTs do the same.
I think we are making a mistake by making domains just a utility asset. There is so much more to it. They should be collectibles. The earliest domains should be worth a lot more. Most 3 letter dot coms should be worth 6 figures. Numerics came as close to being collectible as we’ve seen. And how much fun was that? I’m hearing all the same negative comments now as I heard back then. Hoping it all crashes and we lose money. Which tells me all I want to know about that person. I personally have NEVER wished anyone lose money. I root for people, not against. I’ve found those that root against are hurthing. Some insecurity in them makes them upset when they see someone succeed and they’re not part of the journey. Almost all don’t have kids. Because kids teach you that you’re no longer number one. You learn that you can get just as much happiness and joy out of watching someone else succeed or be happy. Even if you’re not. In short, enjoy us literally minting money and don’t be peanut butter and jealous.
