Today marks my wife Stacey’s birthday. I’m not broadcasting it for a flood of well-wishes from all corners. We’ve never been the grand party types when it comes to birthdays (except for the kids, of course). I mention it because birthdays prompt us to reflect on our past year’s journey. At this stage of life, we understand that time is the most precious currency, far outweighing cash, Bitcoin, or credit. It’s not that we’re ancient relics, but realistically, we’re looking at around 30 good years if luck is on our side. That’s less time than it’s been since we left high school, and almost less time than we’ve been married. So, we cherish it, using birthdays as reminders to have a blast and make wise choices in our daily pursuits. We’ve checked off the boxes of life’s to-do list—kids, a cozy home, opting for fulfillment over fat paychecks. We were mindful of these things in our youth, setting ourselves up nicely for the freedom to do whatever we darn well please now.
As for petty nonsense, I’ve got no time for it—especially when it comes to people. It’s time to shed those who are self-centered and unwilling to share experiences. I’m not sacrificing my time for that crowd. Let them stand in their rooms of mirrors congratulating themselves . I’m not about pretending to enjoy somone because it gets me somewhere. I like where my where is. . It doesn’t mean I have to be harsh; I simply move on, engaging in brief, polite banter or saying nothing at all. Luckily, I’ve got a wife who shares this perspective. With each passing birthday, we find ourselves happier and more content, thanks to our intentional thoughts and actions. Some of those actions involved distancing ourselves from certain types of people, tightening our inner circle. It’s not a “get off my lawn” scenario with old folks; it’s more about asking them to the neighborhood block party.
On a lighter note. Recorded a new Domain Sherpa yesterday and it’s a fun one

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. All names were chosen by us, Shane, Travis, and/or Josh . Everything we say is based on our research or is opinion. Do your due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, registrars, and individuals that are auctioning names. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
Happy birthday to Stacey,Shane .Thanks for sharing your perspectives about your journey.
