I’ve now been at D3 Inc for 3 months, and it’s really everything I wanted my last leg of my business journey to be. I love domains and know they power the world. I also love blockchain and all the great things it will help solve and propel. However, I know that everything doesn’t need to be on-chain. Everyone has a blockchain hammer and makes everything into a nail. I joined because the team always knew that it all starts at the top level. Wallet addresses, digital identity, and all the beautiful things blockchain brings can be added and bridged with domains. I remember at conferences seeing the alt roots, the handshakes, and the wallet guys telling ICANN to F off, saying we needed to be decentralized. Now they show up at ICANN meetings, kissing the ring. It was always about real top-level domains. Blockchain will make dot-com and other domains more powerful and valuable. Paul Stahura works with us, and he knows better than anyone the value of domains. It’s great to be on a team that shares the same vision I always have.
