Part of being in other industries is the conferences and events that are put on remind you of what a quality conference could look like. This year’s ApeFest is in HongKong. Obviously, it’s going to be expensive to get a flight and a hotel in Hong Kong but the 3-day event is free for holders of Apes. There are speakers, concerts, and other events that are all free. While people have made fun of my ape buy and even more so with the drop in value, my $1000 investment has now returned $150K without having to sell the asset. And that doesn’t include all the free events and the community members that have helped me personally and in business. Morgan Linton, who along with Alan Dunn, got me into NFTs, is also going. So a great event and hanging with the friends I’ve made along the way. They also are going to be sponsoring my Drip’s Koda Hot Honey and having a kiosk showing what has been made using the IP of Yuga. So the event is also good for my honey business.
Domain conferences just don’t have the cash to put on these types of events. They rely on ticket prices and sponsors and the sponsors just aren’t there. It’s a vicious circle of people who don’t go because the event because the content is from people we’ve heard a million times, moderators are the same people, and there is no money for quality entertainment or venues. There will be a way to figure it out. I think a digital asset conference may work that combines industries and has panels that are business development and personal growth that will appeal to both segments. It can be done. I hope someone does it.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
