I found out from Godaddy that my Afternic Fast Transfer sale was fraudulent. I found out 2 weeks after the sale. Not sure exactly what that meant but regardless the sale’s been canceled and no money coming my way. My other Afternic sales was in limbo too. They said an API broke. One, I am so thankful I have Joe Styler helping me and taking care of things. Two, I am trying to not be negative all the time with Godaddy. I love the people, I love the expiring domains. I use it every day so there are bound to be more problems than anywhere else. I just feel like many of them could be fixed. They are minting hundreds of millions selling expired domains. That money could be put in to UI. But being a publicly traded stock forces them in to making quarterly numbers.
The last bastion of things that always went quick and easy was the Afternic sale. The last two were bad, real bad. I would say alls well that ends well but being told a $8000 sale ended up being canceled is not ending well. I never spend money before I have it but I did buy names based on my Afternic sale because that’s always been a guaranteed sale. I don’t think I had ever heard of one going bad. You have now.
