I received an inbound email lead for one of my domains listed at Squadhelp this week. The domain is listed for $4k, and the offer was for $400 so I consider this to be a pretty solid lead. Since the domain is already listed at Squadhelp, I figured I would forward the lead over to them and let them earn the 30% commission by negotiating it on my behalf. A Google search turned up the fact that they have an import a lead option so I went to the page to submit it. On the import lead page, they ask for the leads first name, last name, email and purchase amount. The page also says this: Negotiating a sale outside SH? Import the lead and pay only 15% commission on Premium Listings“. That sounds great, but I decided to ask their support channel about the process before submitting. It turns out that this page is supposed to be used when you have already negotiated a final price with a buyer (outside of the SH platform) and you want them to handle the payment, transfer, closing stuff. So it is good to know that they have this option if you want to negotiate your own inbound offers and pay a lower commission, but it also seems like they are missing a key feature of accepting opening offer leads and negotiating on the sellers behalf (and keeping their full commission). The support person basically told me to tell the buyer to go to Squadhelp and start the process when I would have much rather had the option to submit the email / contact info regarding the lead and have them proactively reach out to the buyer to start the negotiation process.
