Listed below are updates on the top 10 domain sales from a year ago, as ranked by DN Journal.
1. 281.com sold for $201,100
You can see the Chinese language for-sale lander below. The domain gets a little traffic, with its Alexa rank near 20 million.
2. 6464.com sold for $65,358
No site resolves, and it’s owned by a Chinese investor.
3. PUG.com sold for $61,000
Per the site, “We are Pug.com and we are your Pug social media headquarters. We wanted to create a place where the huge Pug owners population from around the world could create profiles for their Pugs and share experiences and ideas.” The owner is under privacy protection, and if I had to guess, it’s an investor which simply has the site up as a placeholder. The site has an Alexa rank of 3.5 million.
4. 90Min.de sold for $60,512
The owners of the developed English language 90Min.com picked up the .de for their German language site. It’s the traffic leader for the week, with its Alexa rank near 50,000, while 90Min.com has an impressive Alexa rank near 3,000, and its Facebook page has over 1.7 million followers. “90min is a global football media and technology company focused on the digital generation. 90min taps into the passion and dedication of the hyper-connected fan by powering the production of authentic, engaging and socially driven content distributed to a rapidly growing audience of over 60 million monthly users in ten languages across web, mobile and social. “

So much for development
Unfortunately, that is often the norm with many of these sales.
