1. Heika.com sold for $300,000
The Chinese language site is promoting what appears to be its finance-related app. A rough translation of the app store description is as follows, “Everyone, Friends of the black card is the Group‘s effort to build consumer credit quality of life platform, the idea originated in the famous American Express Centurion card unlimited.” Alexa rank near 3.6 million.
2. Anker.com sold for $130,000
A mobile power and connectivity company for electronic devices. Traffic leader for the week, with an Alexa rank near 23,000.
“Anker was founded in 2009, the brainchild of a group of friends working at Google. Fast forward a few years and we’re now the industry leader in mobile power. Our vision is to create a world where mobile truly means mobile. A world where nothing holds you back from where you want to go, or what you want to do.”
3. Checks.net sold for $24,500
The home of a provider of checks, although their website doesn’t give me a ton of confidence, with a typo on their homepage (“1get”?), and their promotion of “cheap checks”.
“We are the leading provider of cheap checks to businesses of all types and sizes from startups and intermediate level businesses, to full enterprise level businesses looking to cut costs.”
4. OnlineChat.com sold for $24,000
Alexa rank near 650,000. “OnlineChat.com provides free video chatrooms where people from all over the world come to hang out, have fun, and hook up! Think of Online Chat as a virtual bar where everybody knows your name, and you can have fun just being yourself.”
5. LoveCrafts.com sold for $20,000
A craftsy community is in the works, “Our technology delivers a unique combination of social network, digital marketplace, online media and e-commerce to deliver everything a maker needs.” Alexa rank near 900,000.
6. RFH.com sold for $19,000
No site resolves; owned by an individual in China.
7. Ofen.de sold for $17,100
The home of a German-language site that likes fire, “The pro shop for stoves, heating systems, barbecues and hot equipment.” Alexa rank near 400,000.
8. Infor.nl sold for $11,400
The domain redirects to NL.info.com. According to a Dutch translation of the site, “Infor is changing fundamentally the way information is published and used within a company and helps more than 73,000 customers in 200 countries improve operations, drive growth and enables them to quickly adapt to changes that business from them asks“.
9. AndHouse.com sold for $10,850
No site resolves; owned by a company in Japan.
10. Procrastination.com sold for $10,000
The domain is the home of a company that is promoting a book about procrastination, and they provide e-learning and workshops to help combat procrastination. Alexa rank near 3 million.
