I bought Remote Coach in the dot com back in 2016. You can go to namebio to see the price. Fast forward to today and remote names are all the rage. Even at auction Remote Coaching sold for $4800. To show you the value of an expiring name vs a regular name up for auction. As soon as that auction closed I put up mine for auction. It got to about $500. I realize that it may not be worth the same amount (I think its worth more) but definitely worth more than $500. There isn’t a person reading this that wouldn’t take it for $500. It shows that people have the completely misguided idea that domains owned by a domain investor have been whored out and don’t have as much value once its put in their hands.
I can tell you that’s absolutely not true. And I’ll give an example. We bought Ethical in the dot com for $25K from a domain investor and less than 30 days sold it for $50K. Is it worth more. A heck of a lot more. This was last year and things have changed a lot in a year but the sale was made on holding time, not value. To double your money in a month was good enough for us. Some people hold names for years. Heck bitcoin people needed a full year to double. The point is a lot of my sales have come from domains purchased from other domain investors. It’s timing. Luck. That person that really wants it will come. It merely comes down to who’s holding it when they come. So when I see a good domain I could care less of who the owner is. Only that they are the real owner. If its a great name I want it in my hands when the buyer comes.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
