One of the thing that gets me into trouble is I hate excuses. I have no problem with people saying they don’t want to do something or don’t have the skills to do something. But I don’t like excuses. I have said this many times but if REALLY want to do something you will figure out a way. That’s a fact. You want to go out with a good-looking girl or want to go out with your friends. Its amazing how quickly your schedule clears up. Don’t want to go to something. “Busy” .
A lot of people want what others have but they aren’t willing to do what that person did to get it. If they fail they make fun. If they succeed they ignore. Asked why you don’t do that and the excuses become plentiful. Never an answer of “I’m not willing to do that much work”. I have never had a problem with that answer as long as the rewards were never desired. As long as they don’t pretend that person got what they have through genetics, family, or privilege. All those could be true but they are more likely used than actually true. There are way more 6 foot 7 people than you think. Most aren’t in the NBA. The ones that tend to be the ones that had no other choice BUT to play in the NBA. They had no other choices and they put in the work. Sure they had the height that they were born into. But that’s the base not the reason.
I say this because the person this most effects is your kids. They learn the excuse behavior from their parents. Parents that are honest with their kids why things happen tend to have kids that approach work and effort honestly. Knowing when they want to put in the effort and when they want to play. Either is fine because they are kids. But knowing the difference between what was their choice and what was out of their control is super important IMO. It helps them make good decisions later in life. And good decisions is what ends up make a good life later.
Domain Of the Day: Risky.org I’ve said this a million times. One word dot orgs are a bargain right now IMO

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by us, Shane and Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.
