My father in law asked me if I write my posts with AI. I told him, “Why would you think that?” He said it was because I could sit down and knock something out in a few minutes and always seem to have a story ready to go. I took that as a compliment. Then I told him that’s just how I’m wired. I notice the little things in a room. The way someone reacts to a comment. How the furniture is arranged. Anything that stands out in an otherwise normal setting. That’s where the stories come from.
Some of it comes from being raised down south. Southern folks are storytellers. They never let the facts get in the way of a good story, and they can paint a picture with words better than anyone. If you don’t get it, they’ll hit you with an analogy that brings you right back. Every person in the story gets a description, because knowing who they are makes the whole thing funnier or clearer or just more interesting.
A good storyteller can take an average moment and make it worth hearing just through description, cadence, and timing. Good writing does the same thing. I wouldn’t call myself a great writer, but I’m a pretty good storyteller. My wife loves to remind me that not every moment needs a full presentation, but I still find myself telling her how to lead into a story so the listener isn’t spending the first two minutes wondering where she’s going with it.
How you begin and how you end are the roots. The details in the middle are what make it fun or worth reading. I’ve had professionals tell me my structure could be better or my hooks need work, but most of them write to sell. That’s a different craft. Selling is about pulling someone in just enough that they’ll click or buy. I’m not trying to do that. I’m just sharing a story that might make you smile or think a little.
Every now and then I get an email from someone saying a story hit home for them or they had more to add. Sometimes they just tell me I got the facts wrong. But like I said, a good storyteller never lets the facts get in the way of a good story.

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good.

always a pleasure to read. i think you should write a book or at least gather these daily stories.
Thank you Fatih,
Some day I’ll put them all into a book
