If you learn anything from domains, it’s that there are millions of ways to make a living and make money. Every time I look at a domain sale and see who buys it, I go down this deep rabbit hole of the business model behind it. So many times I’ve said, “damn, that is a good business I had no idea about.” From custom knives, to schools for autistic kids, to wedding sites.
I realize there is money in everything, but drilling down on the everything opens up so many cans of worms. It’s horrible for a guy like me who can’t concentrate on any one thing. I want to try them all, and 99% of the time I don’t have the skill set or it requires an all in, that’s all you do mindset. These people have put their whole lives into that business model, and to think someone can just jump into it is naive.
Probably why my best idea is just to keep selling the domains that amplify their effort.
