I think we’re being set up for a huge rise in the cost of using AI. All the LLMs are subsidizing the true cost of buildout for now to get you to use them. I think once they go public and get you loving what you are using, the prices are going to go much higher. In due time those prices will fall dramatically, but the CapEx spend has to come from somewhere.
The cost of electricity was going to substantially rise before AI came on the scene. We’re using more electricity than ever in our everyday lives, and now we are adding in the massive amount of data we all use.
I’ve said this a hundred times, but if you want to offset fuel costs, you buy oil company stock. For electricity, you buy electric providers. For AI, you buy AI and infrastructure. It’s the only way you are going to earn enough to pay for all the subscriptions you are going to need.
You are also going to be redistributing your monthly subscriptions. No more Adobe and countless individual apps—your LLM will do it. Paying external designers and editors will be gone. Costs will be redistributed and offset, but not nearly as much as people think. We think we are going to start getting everything for free, but we won’t. We will pay for it.
I don’t think it will be a huge savings in the short term, but in the long term, you are going to be a one-person powerhouse—replacing the work of ten people for the price of two.
Quote of the Day: When Zig Ziglar was told motivation doesn’t last, he said, “Neither does bathing. It’s why you have to do it each day.”

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.* All names chosen by us. (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything we say is based on our own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or our opinion is correct. We hand choose the names but we are paid to make this list by both the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links.
