I usually post most of domains for sale on HERE and I am reminded why after listing my names at Godaddy. Matt and Michael always keep you informed over at Namejet about payment status and how things are moving along. Godaddy you get nothing. Millions of dollars daily and you really have no idea if you are going to get paid, when you are going to get paid and in general just a wait and see approach. The quality of names on GD are very good, the listings are easy to put up yourself, and they achieve great results on many types of names. But you list and hope. I feel confident that the platform will achieve the results I am looking for, but once it sells I move over to an island of checking each day to see if “pending sale” ever changes to something else. Here are today’s names.
1MI.com Short and mi meaning “my” . 17 years old. Will do well
VIPPorn.com 16 years old. VIP anything is good but porn people like the Champagne room
Blancos.com 15 years old. “whites” in Spanish. Upgrade name for a bunch of places

Email them and give them a sample of the names you would like to sell. If they think they can sell them they will let you use the platform.

Everytime I sell a domain at Godaddy Auctions, they service is shocking, buyer pays straight away name gets transferred, then they just keep hold of your money for a completely unnecessary amount of time, I got told because it was not a Godaddy domain it can take up to 20 days after transfer to pay out, which is just crazy, the domain has been transferred and there is no logical reason to hold the money.

My experience at Go Daddy has been fast and efficient.
I get why there might be a delay; Go Daddy needs to verify the domain and make sure it isn’t stolen and really belongs to the seller.
Also, funds need to be verified. And don’t forget about the buyer’s ability to do a chargeback, potentially leaving the seller without funds and domain. My rep told me that GD “eats” any chargebacks, and, therefore, needs to verify before releasing domains and funds.
Does Namejet guarantee such a smooth transaction?
I think that sellers get a lot of perks for that 10% commission.

I am not going to disagree with you that they CAN be fast and efficient. But how in the world do you know where you are in the transaction? It’s not about speed, it’s about communication during the transaction as to where I stand in the process. I find out in the end. You ask if Namejet guarantees the transaction. The answer is NO. Godaddy doesn’t either. The difference is at Namejet I get a live person that I can talk to via email who will fill me in when I ask. As for the fund thing. Common sense tells me they have to escrow the payment and domain to make sure it is safe and secure. I do this through Escrow.com all the time and it takes 3 days when both buyer and seller want the deal to happen. Again, no saying I don’t like Godaddy auctions. I love them. Both as a buyer and seller. I just wish they had something like a list of the 5 steps in the transaction and highlight where I am in the process.
