Every time I vacation in a foreign country I am reminded of a few things. One, how fat Americans are. We really are an obese society. I went shopping today and the food container sizes are half the size of what you find in the US. We literally eat twice as much food as the rest of the world. Two. We have good prices on food. I probably take for granted how inexpensive food is here in the States which probably leads to overeating. It’s something we all take for granted. Most places in the world don’t have a store with everything you need to live on every corner. To make it even more expensive in this case, I’m on an island where everything has to be shipped or flown in. Not a lot of fresh produce which I am used to walking out of my kitchen door and picking. Finally, I am so thankful for the Internet. It lets me continue to work and I am actually making more money from my sites than I am spending each day. As long as you have Internet you really can live and work anywhere in the world. Even on the beach. Speaking of beach. I’m headed out for a swim and run and it’ll be a short one today.
