Domain Spotlight:

Several holiday-related sites this week, and the screenshots below are linked, if you would like to check them out for yourselves.

HireSantaFor.Christmas

Another small business website, and SMB account for a heck of a lot of domain registrations. The website won’t any design awards, but I bet it helped this Florida-based Santa book an extra gig or two this holiday season.

The site has an Alexa rank near 16 million, and the domain is a shortener for other domains he owns, such as SantaClausForHireBradenton.com and SantaClausForHireSarasota.com, both of which are redirected to his .Christmas domain.

“Santa George has been Santa Claus since 2003! Santa is available for personal parties & appearances, corporate parties, parades, personalized video messages, print ads, commercials, web videos, web ads and more!“

ForeverBlackFriday.Link

Haven’t gotten enough holiday shopping yet?

“We think you shouldn’t have to wait an entire year for Black Friday to come. Or have to camp outside! So we bring you all the best sales here everyday!”

The company behind the site is based in the UK, and their order processing is done through a Shopify store. The site has an Alexa rank near 3.2 million, so they’ve started to get a little traffic.

Oddly, they opted for the .link, instead of going after Forever.BlackFriday, which doesn’t appear to be registered.

Smelly.Gift

Who doesn’t want a smelly gift? The good smelly, of course, not Shane’s-sweaty-visor kind of smelly.

This Seoul, Korea based company is peddling deodorizers and other nice-smelling things.

Candidly, I haven’t figured out precisely what is happening with this eCommerce site that has a mix of both English and Korean words. However, I couldn’t pass up the chance to include this domain and their fun graphics below, including Dr. Smell.

SponsorAChild.Gift

Lastly this week, a site that gets to the true spirit of the holiday season, with the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills in North Carolina requesting gifts for others.

“Donate $879.97 and Sponsor a Child. Why would we ask you for $879.97? Because this is what it takes to provide first class academic, career, healthy lifestyles, gang-prevention, leadership and civic programs for just ONE member of the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills for ONE year. All programs delivered at the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills have a proven track record of success and are led by a team of highly trained staff per year.”
