The screenshots below are examples of buyers of domains from this year that have either developed their sites, or purchased an upgrade domain and have redirected their acquisition to an existing website.
AdMen.com sold for $24,000 at Uniregistry, and the domain is the home of an advertising shop, which appears to have previously been named MilkMen. With offices in Austin and Salt Lake City, “We are changing the way local businesses attract and engage their customers and neighborhoods. Digital and social media with a homegrown style.”
Lucro.com sold for $20,000 at Uniregistry, and the domain was an upgrade from LucroMarketplace.com. This company has raised some VC capital, and describes itself as, “Lucro reinvents the connection of buyers and sellers to solve healthcare’s greatest problems together. We bridge the needs of healthcare organizations and the vendors that provide solutions to the industry.”
Purefy.com sold for $9,600 at SnapNames, and the domain acquisition was the result of a rebrand from CordiaGrad. They focus on student loans, saying “We’re rewarding superior student loan borrowers with the opportunity to refinance high-cost student loans into one, simple Purefy loan.”
Rutte.com sold for $5,701 at Sedo, and the domain is an upgrade on domains such as Rutte.nl and RutteSpirits.com. This distillery is based in the Netherlands, and has been in business over 140 years. “The Rutte family originally came from the south of Holland. They moved to Rotterdam in the 18th century. By the middle of that century they were already involved in the distilling business.“
BusinessPlus.com sold for $5,586 at Sedo, and this new business describes itself as “an all-in-one affordable, easy-to-use hardware and software solution supporting all aspects of running a business.”
If I saw their logo (below) and didn’t already know their domain name, I sure wouldn’t know what to type in.
EdenCrete.com sold for $5,500 at Sedo, and the company is promoting a concrete strengthener. “Developed by Eden Innovations, EdenCrete is a carbon nanotube enriched liquid additive that elevates concrete structures to new levels of strength and toughness.
