SBPB.com sold recently for $1,350 at NameJet, vs $170 on October 31st, 2010 at NameJet. The first of two 6-7x returns before commissions on 4L’s; as usual, the hold periods for these profitable flips is over a year.
WQLJ.com sold recently for $1,125 at GoDaddy, vs $145 on July 28th, 2014 at GoDaddy.
AMFI.com sold recently for $13,310 at Sedo, vs $3,166 on March 12th, 2014 at NameJet. Over 4x before commission. Whois shows the name is still in transfer at Sedo.
ENS.com sold recently for $42,301 at Sedo, vs $19,000 on February 28th, 2011 at Sedo. A nice sale at the recent Sedo Great Domains auction.
VideoInterviewing.com sold recently for $2,501 at BuyDomains, vs $225 on April 27th, 2016 at NameJet. Gotta love a 10x return in less than 4 months. BuyDomains keeps churning out the sales.
Flops
MNHN.com sold recently for $1,509 at NameJet, $2,290 on November 20th, 2015 at Sedo. Compared to the profitable 4L flips above, this hold period is less than a year.
HSE.com sold recently for $30,000 at Sedo, vs $34,000 on April 8th, 2015 at Sedo. A loss of over $8,000, assuming 15% commissions.
KWK.cc sold recently for $860 at NameJet, vs $2,559 on December 30th, 2015 at DropCatch.
Portugal.biz sold recently for $417 at Sedo, vs $1,050 on January 10th, 2011 at Sedo.
KinkyLove.com sold recently for $333 at GoDaddy, vs $3,000 on September 11th, 2013 at Sedo. Is there no money in kinky love any more? This was previously developed and touted as “the biggest sex dating social network on the Internet. You tell us your sexual interests. We find you partners. Simple.” The old logo is below, but the homepage was kinky and NSFW.
Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
