I don’t know what the Hell is up with domain industry’s customer service in general but something has to change soon. Over the past year the registrars and other domain service companies are starting to either get overwhelmed or just said F-it to their customers. I still get good service occasionally but I actually work for most of these companies as a promoter but even I have to send 3 and 4 emails to get a question answered. I don’t even give me the common courtesy of “Got it, let me check” A simple response to let me know they’ll get back to me. It’s gotten ridiculous and I can imagine that a person off the street gets even worse treatment.
Hey @Sedo – please check your website. Your “ask a question” form doesn’t work. 🙁 Would love to update some domains in bulk to sell through your platform. Thanks! #domains #domainnames pic.twitter.com/oJSt6wQ0qi

If Michael Cyger can’t get any help who can? (they did get back to him via twitter where they are the quickest to respond)
Survey: how long should it take for a domain marketplace to respond to a support query asking when a domain you’ve paid for will be in your account? It’s been 9 days. Ahem, @namejet

Andrew Alleman is the biggest domain news reporter in the biz and he can’t get Namejet to respond? How does the person who just bought their first name get help?
This is just two examples and there are thousands more. I am paid by both of these organization to help promote names but they have to help themselves when it comes to service. JT of Namejet can’t do it all himself. I’m hoping Web.com gives him the staff to get things fixed in a timely manner. But I don’t have a choice but to email him directly. Dave Evanson of Sedo doesn’t need to be handling my questions. He’s there to sell domains not be handing off customer service problems.
I own a business. I know that customer service is often traded for a cheaper price. I know people will say “I’ve been with so and so and they ALWAYS get back to me quickly. That’s because you’re in the right side of 50/50. The 50% they actually help. If you sell a product it is the responsibility of the company to provide the service necessary to use that product. It’s not being done in many companies in the industry and they need to step up their game. I’ve only pointed out two because of recent tweets. They are no worse or better than any other company and there are plenty more guilty parties. I used to feel that our industry was saturated. I’m starting to think the opposite. We’re ripe for the picking for a new person to come in and do it right. Like South Korea’s infrastructure compared to the US. Sometimes its best to build new rather than upgrade old stuff. Here are today’s names. Make sure to click on the names to see the current price and to help DSAD continue writing each day.

Pheenix.com Tan Tran owes a lot of people money, his phone # is disconnected, and he doesn’t answer his emails. I have to send a skip tracer to California now to track his ass down.
Look at Sedo’s chat hours,
Open 1 hour per
Week on Saturday’s from 9am-10am.
Closed every other day, patheic.
NameJet flip a coin if you get your call answered, or voicemail.
Same with Name.com never answer their phone, voicemail we are in a team meeting.
Service is not important in this industry I guess, stop supporting these companies, send a message.
I have inside information that Sedo is now being run by a lazy teenage stoner living in his mom’s basement.
These are their posted livechat hours of operation (no joke – check yourself):
Monday – Friday: Closed
Saturday: 09:00 PM – 10:00 PM EST
Sunday: Closed
It is currently Friday, Feb 15, 2019 09:31 AM EST
Lately I have won some names at the Namescon auction and I have wired the money to Namejet. I opened a support ticket to let them know that the payment has been wired and they need to confirm it. But there was no response, but their automatic emails keep on coming asking me to wire the money and they kept on charging my credit card in between, the amount was above 10K. After 2 days I emailed JT and Scott for a reply even though JT opened the email there was no response and Scott cared for a reply.
He gave me an email address saying to contact them and I did and after 2 days there was no response of any kind. I updated the support system and there was an automatic update about how you should wire the money. Al last I emailed JT again and he responded that he will look into it. After some hours he confirmed that they have the payment.
Customer service is a joke for Namejet
