I read an article yesterday talking about a percentage of depression in startup founders. . The article does a great job of telling the story of the founder. Founders always have to put on a happy face. Things have to be “great” all the time. He/she doesn’t want others to see struggle. To show any weakness. Millions of dollars are on the line and they don’t want to have anyone think that the road ahead is anything but paved with gold. That pressure will drive many a person into depression. I know what depression must feel like. I have never battled it but we’ve all woken up and had that feeling. That there is nothing positive to be had that day. That getting up is just going to lead to more misery and more of the same that was yesterday. For me it’s a brief thought that I break out of in 5 minutes of actually waking up. I am thankful that they are only brief thoughts. But many don’t break free of those thoughts. They can’t pick out the positive nor see a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a true disease and those that battle it suffer major health consequences and personal turmoil. I’m fortunate my only “disease” is the love of high risk and gambling. It has to be managed every day as well. Its only been a problem when I didn’t have money. Once I have it intend to become risk averse because I knew what it it took to get it. , I’ll take the latter. Here are today’s gambling names.
