You probably read that Godaddy is changing their bidding rules on Monday to suit my active lifestyle. Unlike many domain investors, I actually have stuff to do during the closing hours of Godaddy auctions. I don’t have time to get in a bidding war that take the best part of the afternoon. It’s not that I don’t have the money, it’s I can’t sit their for an hour while some non paying bidder moves up the auction by $10 and cuts into me selling Mrs. Johnson her three petunias. I have stuff to do, people to see. Now we can both lay our dicks on the table and extend the auction a minute to see who wants it. You want the domain, then bid. If not, let’s both go home. Worried about sniping? Not me. I’ve been forced to put up what I’m willing to pay all along. Since I know the auction is going to run forever I just don’t show up. I put my bid in and come back later to see what happened. Now I can actually set an alarm and I might get to see it end. In short, this suits me better. Thanks Godaddy. Here are today’s names
TechTape.com Not huge value but 15 years old and would make a nice site or blog name. No bidders
TheCellphone.com No bidders. I think it’s a great name and nobody agrees with me so you may see one bid by the time you read this.
Trenched.com It makes me think of putting in a new irrigation line but guessing it has many more uses
PaintballNY.com Would make a great marketing name for any paintball company in NY. NO bidders
OwnCoach.com Great name for training plans.
ChimneySweep.com Yes you still need to have your chimney swept. This is a big boy name. Just not sure if any Chimney Sweeps have big boy money
MicroFibre.com I don’t like the way it feels on my hands but don’t pass on the name just because of my rough hands
SarasotaHotels.com There have been a bunch of great FloridaCityHotels.com names. You’d be good owning any of them
NEW Thursday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. $.99 Registration and Transfer gofdca21
IMNR.com Good letters and 20 years old. Don’t see a lot of 20 year old domains up for sale
WebCapital.com Internet fundraising may catch on. 16 years old
CAOG.com Good letters. Was an acronym because its DMOZ listed
BusinessWorks.com I like the name. Probably not as much as all the bidders
MyTrademark.com Because there are so many “MY” domains, people remember these. Obvious use
Nikosia.com Also spelled Nicosia. Capital of Cypress. Cheap now but reserve is a bit higher
Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. *All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.
