I had three names end yesterday at Flippa and none of them met reserve. It’s always a little disappointing when your names don’t hit the number you hoped but have to admit I love being on the selling side and watching the final moments of the auctions. It’s addicting. You know what you need out of it to make money. Some times it doesn’t get there. Other times it just gets over it and you start doing the math in your head to figure out if you are really going to make money after fees. Then there is the time that the bidding war happens and you see dollar signs before your eyes. I’m not to the latter but there is still the post auction negotiation at Flippa that is so nice so I still may sell the domains. I know their good names so I’m not too worried whether they sell now or later but it’s sure been a fun ride. Before I even finished this post I’ve already sold one using the post auction negotiation. Looks like we’re going to have a good day after all. Here are today’s names (and hopefully some future flips)
SDH.com No reserve. Will sell
TrackLink.com No bidders. 18 years old. Ironically I was looking at code that tracks the number of people people that click links on my websites
Saag.com These aged, double voweled LLLL.coms always seem to do well.
K56.com Already doing well. I think I know who will win this auction
EHPS.com Great letters but plenty of bidders that know that
StopOnIn.com No bidders. For $69 this is a pretty good marketing name IMO
VOKO.com Pending delete. That will be on heck of a catch. I own Foko.com so I hope it sells for $50K
DABF.com Trying to think of a funny acronym for this one but too tired.
Encoding.net Computer jargon always has a following. Has more bidders than I thought
Compliance.net There are so many things I have to comply too it’s crazy. One of the biggest is compliance for the merchant services aka credit card companies. This name would have sold for thousands a few years ago. I have no idea now but I am going to bid and find out.
NEW Saturday!!!! Working Godaddy Domain Code of the day.. 20% OFF Cart (aka, when you don’t have any other codes)fb2hpac20
SuperFight.com Not just a fight but a superfight. Boxing used to have Super Fights but now they’re called MMA
The-Force.com Even with a dash I knew someone would bid on this
TexasHomeSchool.com Not all homeschool kids are weird.
DivorceQuickly.com For $12 it’s worth a shot as a marketing name IMO. No bidders
JailBail.com Unfortunately there’s quite a few people looking for bail. Fortunately they need a short name to remember
ProPunter.com No bidders. A punter in a gambler in the UK. Has to be worth a small bet. See what I did there?
GetFish.com Merlin bought GoFish.com for $50K so this has to be worth a small percentage of that.
HBC.cc Another LLL.cc that’s in that $75-100 range
Jean.net Not as good as Matt.net but still a popular name. Only $200 at press time
Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details. *All names chosen by me, Shane, and the goal of this list is to have all links be paid through commission . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct.
Voko got caught by Pheenix. Which one you think is the better domain Shane? Voko or Foko?
Doron,
I like Foko because I own it but Voko probably is better.
It went for $7,301 – Asian buyer (most likely since bidding alias is a common Japanese name).
