  • Casinos.com.br – Sold recently for $13,500 at Sedo, vs $2,500 in 2011 at Sedo. Parked.
  • BMH.com – Sold recently for $27,200 at Sedo, vs $10,500 last year at Afternic. Parked. The current owner has a DomainWorld.net email address.

Flops

  • Weights.com – Sold recently for $36,500 at Flippa, vs $32,000 in 2012 at Sedo. Seller Eric Borgos of the excellent Impulse Corp blog provided a refreshingly candid overview of his ownership and loss on the domain in a recent post.

“On the $36,500 sale, I paid a 20% commission (10% to Flippa.com, 5% to the primary broker who handled the Flippa sale for me, and 5% to a co-broker), so my net was only $29,200. That is almost $3000 less than I paid.” “The main point of all of this is that once I had done everything I wanted to do with the domain (and failed), it was worth a lot less to me than it was when I first owned it. I am happy I got to try out Weights.com, and I don’t at all regret buying it.

The new owner per Whois is Gary Warne of Labyrinth.com, and per his site, he controls other gems such as Ales.com, Bout.com, Scold.com, L-A.com, and more.

Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
