CHINESE AUCTION TRENDS FOR JANUARY 7, 2016

Another day another absolute beating in the stock market.  Being fairly new to this industry, I don’t know that many people.  I’m curious — are most of your investments in the stock market, or are all of your eggs in the domain investment basket?  For me, the majority of my investments are in traditional markets, a really large chunk is invested in private equity and a very small amount is invested in domains.  I look at domain investing as a means of diversification outside of the traditional investment avenues.

  1. I moved the majority of my portfolio (mutual funds/etfs) into cash/safer investments at the end of 2015 with the slow down in China specifically being a concern along with growth concerns in the US, along with healthcare costs rising exorbitantly, it’s time to be more on the safe side, especially when the financial numbers coming out of both China and India are not trustworthy along with less transparency in the US markets, it’s just a change in the industry that brings about being more conservative and looking to bring more money into domains out of traditional asset allocations.
