Maybe there wasn’t a floor for various .cc categories after all. They seem to have fallen back to about where they were pre-rumor that they would be lowering their renewal prices.

Travis why do you bother any longer with the china sales post. When are people like yourself Travis, Shane and others of china cheer squad going to accept that the parties over. There is no afterparty… Where has all the ‘China the biggest game in town’ talk gone. Do all you guys think if you just don’t talk about it now it will be better in the morning. Its just called denial. The party is over. Toot Toot
Thanks for the comment Roger. If I thought it was a bother, I wouldn’t post it. I’m not sure why you think I’m part of some China cheer squad. I never have been in any way. The price trend has certainly been down for the categories covered in this daily post, but the number of readers checking out the data every day hasn’t changed. I guess some people are still interested in it. If you are not, then don’t bother to read it.
And specifically for Rodger
“I am sorry to say but I think you get your feathers ruffled that there is any negative commentary and/or differences of opinion to your own about the Chinese market. Not just the people cheering for it to crash. I would agree with you that there is no benefit in that other than to be able to say ‘I told you so’.”
You come in and tell someone that his hard work is worthless and you wonder why people get their feathers ruffled. If you don’t like something don’t visit. Don’t criticize their work and tell they “why do you even bother” I could care less whether or not you invest in Chinese. The bigger question. Why are you wasting your time reading Travis’ data if you know that the party is over. Why the hell did you come to Travis’ party if you think its over? I know. To be rude.
Travis is just publishing numbers regardless of whether they are up or down. Also, there’s a good chance that these guys are investing in Chinese specific domains on a longterm basis.
Thanks for the comment John. Both of your statements are correct.
I consider this series as a long-term spam.
Spam usually involves trying to dupe someone into buying something. I’m not selling anything, and I don’t make a dime for posting this on a daily basis. I found the data useful for myself. I was pulling it anyway. I asked Shane if he wanted me to post it for his readers to see, and he said “That would be great. They love data.” And here we are.
Mike and Rodger,
You two are complete idiots. Why and the hell are you even reading this post? The title says exactly what the content is and yet you are not even smart enough to NOT click and move to an
article you deem worthy and not spam. The content hasn’t changed in months. Its daily data and again, you’re not smart enough to avoid it. Then you take the extra step and criticize Travis for his work because YOU don’t like it. And Mike had the audacity to bitch and say “I’m unable to read the table on my mobile phone” Who bitches because they can’t read spam? You two are simply the worst of the worst. Complete asshats.
Its utter madness when a blogger sticks his head above the parapet to share information only to be slated for it. Its becomes a thankless task and we are all the poorer for it.
Why not just ignore the post or better still start your own blog. No because it takes insight, thick skin, and balls to do a blog, much harder than writing cheap shots behind an anonymous Roger S.
Travis,
Please ignore those guys. You do a very good job and it does have value.
Cheers
It’s really impressive to see someone make 2 contradicting statements in one comment, well done Roger. Keep up the good work Travis, it’s very much appreciated.
