I’ve changed the table again. Previously, I was showing today vs. the numbers exactly 30 days ago. This can be very misleading because of the wild swings in low volume categories day by day. What I’m doing now is showing you todays prices vs. the average price for the entire previous calendar month — so today, and every other day in March, will show todays prices vs. the average price for the full month of February. This should smooth out those daily price swings quite a bit and give a better representation of the data we really want to know – what does the current trend look like compared to recent history. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good. At least not today… Almost the entire board shows that the average prices in February were higher than today. Of course, this is still comparing one day against something so those wild swings still play a part. At the end of each month, I’ll try to remember to average the just finished month vs. the previous month to get a better monthly view.
Now that I’m thinking about it, instead of comparing today to the previous calendar month, I could compare it to the previous 30 days average. I’m not sure which I would like more. What are your thoughts?

I defo prefer a moving average to a calendar month, I think it shows a more granulated trend.
Love your posts by the way, keep up the great job – it’s awesome info.
A moving 30-day average would be a better indicator of trend. Thank you.
I really appreciate the effort that goes into compiling these. I would think a 30 day rolling average indicates trends better than previous month average.
Thanks for the comments guys. I’ll convert it to a rolling 30 day average.
Hey Travis, I agree with the rolling 30 day average. Great job. I wondered if there were future plans to track .ws?
I’ll track it here if Chaomi adds it. Otherwise, I’ll track it in other ways.
Quick question, is this chart based off strictly Chaomi or a mixture of sales from Chaomi and 111.co? Thanks for the updates btw
Just Chaomi for now.
