Domain Spotlight:

Below is another look at a few recent domain flips and flops, with data courtesy of NameBio.

Flips sold for 85,000 USD recently at Sedo, vs 52,500 USD on 2007-02-28 at Sedo. Picked up by the Bulgarian company behind the site, “JOBS.BG used by over 70,000 companies in Bulgaria from all sectors of the economy. Published more than 20 000 items a month, applying for them are over 1 800 000.” Not a fantastic return when considering the 9 years between the two sales — about a $20k profit after commissions. Interestingly, the domain still has a BIN of $65k through Afternic, which is $20k below the recent sale price. sold for 32,500 USD recently at Sedo, vs 2,500 USD on 2005-02-18 at Afternic. Note: I didn’t do an exhaustive search of the ownership history of each domain. There are likely cases where there were multiple owners between the sales prices I list.
