I have to admit it was great watching Tiger Woods play and compete for the lead for the first time in a while. When Tiger was in his prime he was like nothing sports had seen since Michael Jordan. Head and shoulders above the rest and doing things nobody else could do. Time, his cheating, his body, and the rest of the field ended up catching up to him but its still nice to relive the good old days of working on the computer while the crowd screams on the TV with Tiger’s every shot.
On a personal note. I gave a gardening talk yesterday for decent size group of 200. I prepared the talk a few weeks ago and it was pretty good. I figured with a few ad libs I would do just fine. But then I saw an email about me fee and some paperwork needed. I forgot how much I had charged them and got nervous that while it was a good talk, at that price I might need to step it up a notch. So I wrote some gardening jokes, added a few more interesting pictures, and added some flare. Realistically after giving talks for 25 years and having a television show of 20 I was going to do just fine, but I always want to earn my money. And I think I did. It wasn’t quite the slow clap that went on for 10 minutes but I do feel sorry for the guy that had to follow me. Not because of my great talk but because he had to wear the microphone after me and I had bad morning breath . Here are today’s names. Click on them for current price
