You get a lot of opinion on how to make money in this industry but I can give you one that I can guarantee is right. You have to have your names listed on Afternic and have them come up in the feed at Godaddy. Its a must. It’s silly not to have your domain come up when someone types something similar to your name in a Godaddy search. It is such a huge platform that its important to be seen there. I watch Josh sell names daily because of this. If you want to buy and wait like Schwartz then there’s no need. But if you need to sell some names then its a must. It takes a few minutes to get it done but I can guarantee it will be worth your time. Here are today’s names. Click for current price

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
Your comments were very much what I was thinking on the trademark workaround.
More importantly .. if you owned uGenie.com .. why would you need for even one wish to be gift certificates to SexDepot? Just wish to own the entire store! 😉
PS .. check your email .. I think I might have finally got one!
You are better off listing your domains directly on GoDaddy auctions if you can, instead of on Afternic.
If you set domains to make an offer on Afternic, with a minimum amount, your make an offer minimum price shows up lower on GoDaddy auctions than it does on Afternic. Surprise!
Mark, Shane’s talking about BIN, fast transfer if possible, listings. You won’t get impulse buys with make offer, you won’t get the increased syndication either.
as far as i know listing it with godaddy or afternic is the same thing right?
Fatih, No and yes, sorta… It depends on the type of listing. If you list your names on Afternic they will show in the Godaddy Auction feed. If it’s Afternic fast transfer they’ll show up like a Godaddy “premium” listing at Godaddy and will be syndicated as premium BIN to a larger range of participating registrars. I think Listing on Godaddy auctions may syndicate to the basic Afternic network, but I’m not sure. Listings with Godaddy Premium will show up in the Godaddy registration path as soon as listed. Domains aren’t eligible for Afternic fast transfer until they clear the 60 day transfer lock. So to break that all down, your best chance of selling a name that lives at Godaddy is to list it as a Godaddy BIN Premium Listing right away, Also add it to Afternic and opt in to Afternic fast transfer as soon as it lets you.
