Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday July 14th

Escrow.com

Yesterday I bought a big name that I have coveted for a while.   For a decade I have preached to family, to friends, to groups, in order to be successful you have to get uncomfortable.  When you build a business there are times where you are going to have to make decisions that make you feel uneasy. Whether its taking more risk than you are used to.   Or perhaps you are producing more than you normally do.  At some point you are going to have to move to uncharted territory.

To be a good public speaker you have to move past the fear of what others think of you.  When you start you are going to be extremely uncomfortable.  To be a good athlete you HAVE to push yourself several times a week to place that hurts a little.  It’s not something that most people look forward to. A place that you can’t do for long but hope you can do it again or better next time you try.   Being uncomfortable is what makes you better.  And that’s why I bought Uncomfortable.com.  It’s not to flip but to be the name I use when I write my book and give my talks.  It’s my mantra.

I haven’t accomplished anything extraordinary but its in the works.  And when I do I am going to try and tell them people it was all because I was willing to get uncomfortable each and every day.   We’ll see how it goes.

Hat tip to Aaron Johnson, team member of DSAD.com (on hiatus with kids) who is now a premium name Broker at Godaddy for getting the deal done.

Quote of the Day:  Be willing to be uncomfortable. Be comfortable being uncomfortable. It may get tough, but it’s a small price to pay for living a dream”  -Peter McWilliams

Domain of the Day:  FinanceChain.com I would think this would be worth quite a bit for BlockChain alone. Nobody else agrees

Namejet Auctions

HighHeels.com  Not going to sell but a great name

NSWS.com  I would be buying it if I didn’t just buy uncomfortable.  I can’t get that uncomfortable financially

BuildingWealth.com     Wealth usually takes time.  It builds, it doesn’t just show up.  Unless you are in bitcoin.  But it can also disappear quickly

Navicast.com  Sounds like an existing product already.  Navigation + Broadcast

Jordan.org   I see Michael.  Some see a country

Custard.net  Strong enough keyword that the .net works.  If you sell custard especially. Bike tires, not as strong

OHPN.com  At $300 I think this is a good buy.  Under $400 is a good buy.  My opinion only.  Make your own call.

MovieZone.com  Sounds like a good place to see a movie

ExpiringNames.com  better name than Expireddomains.net

Sedo Names At Auction

Agitos.com   From the Latin “I move”

CannabisBeer.com    Its a thing and bidders like that

PlayTurf.com   Its a real thing as well.  Replacing playground mulch or grass.  Artificial playground turf

CashInBitcoins.com   Some say you should, some say hold forever

StartupManual.com   I had no idea there was a manual

Peckle.com   Southern Pickle

BTZW.com   I don’t understand, I thought I just read that ChiPs were now under $800.  So confusing

Domains That I Like With One or No Bids

WatchMeDoThis.com Not much value but it IS what YouTube is built on

TrenchDog.com A band name but would also be a good clothing brand. No bids

SexAndPizza.com The two things that even at its worst isn’t too bad

PlayPath.com Kids company all the way. Probably playgrounds

Gizom.com Good adult name

Snooko.com Brandbucket type domain.

Bacon.biz Somebody has to want this for domain use alone. And its only $12

Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an emailI Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good

  1. Hey Shane .. congratulations .. I’m not sure what you paid for it but I’m guessing more than a few dollars .. so next time you want to get uncomfortable might I suggest a much more economical method. Buy a bunch of thumbtacks at your local dollar store and put them on your chair when you write you blog! 😉
    .
Seriously though .. I like the name for exactly the reason you mentioned. On the surface some seemingly negative names might not have much potential .. unless you can see a deeper meaning to it like you have here … hopefully for you the seller didn’t see it the same way you did! lol

    1. Ategy,

I don’t think you need to reach deep on this one. Its a word that is used to describe every day. I bought it directly from Godaddy’s portfolio which tells you it was not cheap. Gotta spend money to make money

      1. Yup .. I agree this is certainly one of the more obvious negative names that can easily be turned on it’s head. What I was trying to say was more that for every one name like that, you’ll have 50 like unsparingly .. where the twist unfortunately just isn’t obvious enough to market it that way.
        .
That was a problem I think a lot of us have at the start .. we think negative names can be used to show how to overcome those things. Sometimes is works .. sometimes it doesn’t.
        .
Most obvious example would be Viral. Initially negative on the health front, but now obviously great for anything social media. While virus is very similar, it doesn’t work like viral does.

  2. Great idea, Shane! Many years ago, I purchased unsparingly.com for similar reasons. However, I have never realized my vision for it and because of personal circumstances, likely never will. So if anyone out there is interested, let me know.

I enjoy your excellent blog. Keep it up.

    1. Thank you Winston. I can honestly say I have never used the word unsparingly in my speech nor have I heard anyone use it when talking to me. Then again, do great things with it and the whole world will know the word

  3. Congrats.
You’ll recoup your money later when you get $10 each for autographs 😉

  4. Godaddy had it listed BIN for $15,000 with a $7500 min offer. Safe to assume you bargained a little and got it for $10K?

      1. Looks like there are no trademarks on that term and for that price you should do very well with it without any worries.
        Congrats

  5. Glad we were able to secure it for you Shane. Love the name and the intended use, congrats again.
