It started with a 5:30 nudge. “Hey Shane I think it snowed last night” “You have to be kidding me!!!”, were the first words out of my mouth yesterday morning. For the third time in three days it snowed but I wasn’t ready this time. I have large food super stores that have zero tolerance. Meaning they want it cleared regardless of the amount. It has to be clean all the time. I have giant tractors with push boxes and a few hand shovel guys on call all the time. Unless I don’t think they need to be on call. We had a zero percent chance of snow except someone forgot to tell the clouds. We had just spent 10 hours getting all the stores perfect so we could enjoy New Years eve and Day and exactly none of the guys were ready to be on call. Including me.
I knew I was in trouble. I saw half our crew on a Facebook live video at 1:30 am the night before drinking and singing along at a party. The fact I saw them at 1:30 tells you how many hours sleep I had. None of the trucks were ready. No salt loaded. All needed to be filled with gas. I was basically fucked. I called my brother and called the two guys that I gave huge bonuses to because I still had some residual left from the unexpected check. Long story short, we got her done. But instead of the normal 3 to 4 hours of cleanup it took me 9. All the banks and many of the stores were closed so I was able to get the stores done in order of opening. But here was the beautiful thing.
Everything went my way. For the first time ever some things happened. Sunday morning shopping is usually crazy at the super market but since it was zero degrees it was less crowded than normal. Normally cars are always in my way when I am trying to plow. But this time I cleared one side first trying to draw the cars.It worked perfectly. The shoppers saw the side cleared and started gravitating toward the clean spots. That let me then clear the other side. For the first time ever I was able to clean the parking lot while they were open and busy. So instead of having to come back at 10 pm or midnight on New Years eve I finished at 10 am. So my whole night wasn’t ruined. Also, even though the high was 5 degrees on the day the sun came out strong and bright. It let my salt melt the whole parking lot and the afternoon traffic dried it. Normally a 5 degree day is tough to salt and our low tomorrow is 15 degrees below zero. Not windchill, normal temperatures. But my lots unexpectedly are all clean.
So a terrible start to the day went absolutely perfect and I made a few thousand to throw in my pocket. Because of all the success yesterday I am going to say December 31st was the first day of my 2018. Because that is how I want the whole year to go. I just don’t want to wake up in panic to start each day.
If you’re reading this you survived last year. Congrats. And you made a wise choice to start the year here. I guarantee you won’t get plowing stories at your other domain blogs.
I will give you some investment advice for 2018. Put your money in the future. Realize that fossil fuel is dying. Invest in other forms of energy. I won’t say which ones but alternative energy is not going to be alternative soon.
Find the crypto that actually serves a purpose. Right now its dart throwing. Everyone won in 2017. That will change in 2018. There are going to be winners and losers in 2018.
Invest your time more wisely. There is so much shitty content on the Internet. Find original content that entertains and/or informs. Skip the junk and save yourself 30 minutes a day. And don’t go near Twitter. That will save you another 3o minutes to 3 hours a day.
There. I told you a plowing story. Made you some money. And saved you at least 30 minutes a day. That’s a good start for 2018 Here are today’s names at auction today. Click for current price

All names chosen by me Shane, or Josh . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
I’m interested to see where CryptoConvert ends up at. I’d love to pick up that name.
