Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Monday November 20th, 2017

Nov 20 2017

This week starts a big week in retail and usually a pretty slow week in domains.  I used to find some good deals at the auctions on Thanksgiving and Friday after but that’s not been the case lately as the auctions are now International and most really don’t care about Thanksgiving.  Although I don’t know how it can get much slower in domains as my offers dried up in November if you don’t count the “not really going to buy them” offers for my short stuff.  Although I did get a very nice offer of $80 for the other day.  I had to figure out if I wanted to take the offer and take two friends to Buffalo Wild Wings.  But I opted not to take and counter for more.

I know I’m crazy busy at the nursery with Christmas trees and decorations.  Add to that trying to get things packed up before the winter hits and its not that relaxing of a season for me.  But it’s part of how I make a living and it extends the retail season for the nursery and our employees.  Now if I could just get that nice domain sale for Christmas I’ll have a great season Here are today’s domains. Quote of the Day:  “A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back to the crowd”

Domain of the Day:   Terms that everyone knows makes a good brand.   Great sports name

Portfolio Of the Day:,, FoodJunkies and a few other strong names

Namejet and Sedo Names at Auction  The word is about making maps but its a great brand as evidenced by the people already using it. Under $600 at press time  Met reserve and will sell today   also met reserve and will sell. W for Worldwide     I love the name but scared to use man in any brand right now  Los Angelos something something  Nice friendly sounding brand  Mmmm fake cheese   5L and the name of a Indian singer if that means anything  I would think something big could be done with this name   Great letter and the A keeps it cheap  Comes down to the reserve.  Just know its under $500  Like an ultra marathon but takes a lot longer

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids    Xpress is considered ok when naming.  As is EZ, Kwik, and other shortners  You’ll get a lot of pictures and videos if you own this one   Already at $2000 and climbing. Fish names have traditionally brought good prices   You know what I’m going to say.  This name is goodr than a lot of the names on the list    Value by itself without the links but 137,000 of them doesn’t hurt   Pin is the driver here    Vesus tokens  but as long as it goes up it really doesn’t matter what it is I guess  Good generic two word dot com.  What you should want.  Although now they are expensive   A decent 5N under $1    Canna or cannabis is the proper nomenclature now.  Medical is legal there   The fad is fading but might catch the tail end  The 6Ns with the double 8s and triple 8s are still doing well.  Just not as well

Please take a look at Ategy’s auctions going on at Namepros

Godaddy Names With One or No Bids  RFID tags and other smart tags are the future of retail  Not a bad keyword for $12.  I don’t touch .cc keywords unless they are top 100 keywords  I think this is  22 year old domain.  Perfect for guys with little ones  A with no bids and could be HowNY I HATE these names.  They show up in the forums because people think they are dictionary.  Not real word  Get rid of the EXIF data on your photos  I don’t think miner names really have much value but this is one doesn’t have any bids  good marketing name for the side of a truck in this mad scramble for good people  What a nice thought.  Kids don’t see shapes in the clouds like they used to     Track down the the untraceable.  No bids  Family name and the name of a few things

Other Godaddy Names with Bids

I agree with you that the miner names don’t have as much value. has been up for months at $300 with no takers on godaddy auctions.

Thanksgiving in Canada is actually 2nd Monday in October (gives us a long weekend) .. but over the last 5 years or so we are now having (American) Black Friday sales pretty much everywhere. One of those cultural influences of living next door to the planet’s economic powerhouse!
I find the auctions really weird .. it’s almost as if I only have one main competitor for auctions .. where there are periods when He/She is grabbing everything good I target .. then other periods where I’m grabbing the same quality stuff supercheap because maybe that person bust their budget or was on vacation? I had an easy period early in the year .. and another one very recently .. It’s really bizarre .. but if you think about it, it might seem like there are a lot of us domainers .. but there really isn’t .. there are plenty of gaps that shift .. I’m pretty sure if I looked at the new owners of domains I have *personally* targeted, that the same small handful of new registrant names account for most of the domains that go for a certain range.
I really like that fact though .. it means the market is very inefficient and that if you put in the work of going through the lists nightly, that you will definitely find a small handful of quality names that others have not .. thus letting you grab a small percentage for super cheap or even $11 closeout!
