Raymond had a question on TheDomains asking a question to people that have been domain investing whether domain investing is better or worse now. Most people said worse. They miss the PPC and the availability of good domains at a reasonable price. I completely disagree that its worse. If you have been domain investing and bought the domains that are the best brands there is no way you could lose money. Prices are fantastic and are at levels we all thought they should be. Its what we bought the 5Ls and short one word and two words hoping for. I missed a ton of PPC because I was buying things that didn’t get a lot of typo but someday a brand could be built on.
If you sold or flipped everything then yes, its very very expensive to get the names back now. But if you held and waited or upgraded the portfolio every time you sold retail you should be sitting pretty after 10 years of buying.
