Thousands of bids. The same thing that Josh described yesterday at Godaddy is going on today. Someone went and put bids on hundreds of names. But this time it wasn’t just names that Godaddy valued higher. Its keyword and random names. Some weird things happening at GD lately but as long as good names come across each day I can get through antiquity that is Godaddy.
On a side note, I got in an odd position the other day. I work long hours and generally go straight home but I decided to try and go to Sam’s Club to buy some things for work. As soon as I get on to the highway I see this truck carrying a crane look like it grazed the bridge. The truck driver loses control and the whole things turns over and slides on its side. He was fine, just a bit shook up. As expected everything came to a complete stop………for hours, and hours. I couldn’t take a nap. I couldn’t get out for safety reasons. I spent my evening sitting there waiting for it to get cleaned up. Eventually they let me pass because I could slip through the accident. The semis behind me weren’t so lucky. They were there all night. Unfortunately they couldn’t go forward and they couldn’t go back. I got home about 9 pm and didn’t get shit done. A complete loss of a rare evening. At least everyone was OK. That’s what’s really important but that’s doesn’t mean I don’t want to go back in time and not get on the highway and get 3 hours of my evening back. Here are today’s names. Namejet Auction
If you see HDKN as a bidder today you can be assured that this account has made a bid is just below the reserve price. If you want the name and bid you will meet reserve. But its not natural and blatantly obvious. I know because there I’ve tested it (actually wanted one of the names)
BIN.net Good place to list your Buy it Now names
OHTN.com I think LLLL.com like this are good value right now. My opinion only.
WWPW.com One of the HDKN names I talked about. But still a nice name
Tortillas.net Everyone loves tortillas
KiddieProof.com The guys one Sherpa thought it was good. I don’t like the word kiddie.
FindHikes.com I’ve never sold a hiking name but I have a few like GoHike.com A lot of hikers around the world and their passionate about their hobby. Those are the kinds of names I like to own. Passionate hobbiest
Sedo’s Great Domain Auction Has Started. DBA.com, Vodka.net and many more
Have a name at auction and need more exposure? Send me an email. I Charge $10 per name per day. We may be able to help. If you have an auction you want to promote, email us for details.*All names chosen by me, Shane . (ie you click through and purchase a name you like) or an occasional paid listing. Everything I say is based on my own research or is opinion. Do your own due diligence. That means look it up yourself if you don’t think the stats or my opinion is correct. I hand choose my names but I am paid to make this list by the auction houses, individuals that are auctioning names, and Godaddy affiliate links. Keep that in mind and only buy names that YOU think are good
So you mean HDKN bidding on self domains to pump up auction prices?
Did you at least get some good footage?
No footage. I wish I had a dash cam but unfortunately I’m not Russian and have it running all the time 🙂
Abdul,
I am saying he/she is not letting it flow naturally. They are putting in a bid right below reserve and some how know the reserve. They are probably telling themselves that it is not a problem because if people want to pay the next bid price then that is their choice. And if they didn’t then it wouldn’t sell anyway. But its still not natural
Got it!
So there are chances of this bidder being somehow connected with those bidder(s) and one need to be careful when this bidder jumps into action.
For some reason, this post is not showing up on the homepage. It appears this has been the case for several other posts and I missed all of them 🙁
Weird. It showed up right after I posted my comment…
Awesome list as always!
Thank you Dave
Gugei.com at $898 ?!?!
And an Automatic Bid at that!!!
Bidder has to be named Gugei, only way this can make any sense.
