Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Wednesday May 17th

May 17 2017

Thousands of bids.  The same thing that Josh described yesterday at Godaddy is going on today.  Someone went and put bids on hundreds of names.  But this time it wasn’t just names that Godaddy valued higher.  Its keyword and random names.  Some weird things happening at GD lately but as long as good names come across each day I can get through antiquity that is Godaddy.

On a side note, I got in an odd position the other day.  I work long hours and generally go straight home but I decided to try and go to Sam’s Club to buy some things for work.  As soon as I get on to the highway I see this truck carrying a crane look like it grazed the bridge.  The truck driver loses control and the whole things turns over and slides on its side.  He was fine, just a bit shook up.  As expected everything came to a complete stop………for hours, and hours. I couldn’t take a nap.  I couldn’t get out for safety reasons.    I spent my evening sitting there waiting for it to get cleaned up.  Eventually they let me pass because I could slip through the accident.  The semis behind me weren’t so lucky.  They were there all night.  Unfortunately they couldn’t go forward and they couldn’t go back.  I got home about 9 pm and didn’t get shit done.  A complete loss of a rare evening.  At least everyone was OK.   That’s what’s really important but that’s doesn’t mean I don’t want to go back in time and not get on the highway and get 3 hours of my evening back.  Here are today’s names. Quote of the Day:  “A Tiger doesn’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep

Domain of the Day:       1999 registration.   Could be one word or two words depending on what you are promoting.  Price is pretty low for a dictionary word

Godaddy Domains That I Like With Multiple Bids   Was a startup now it can be yours.  It would let you suggest places to visit to friends.  How original    A city in Texas of 12,000 people    A neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro Brasil.  And a   Mark must be pretty cool to have his own world.  Could be trademark I guess   This thing is only at $70.   Thought it would be ten times that.  Not over though    The modern day version of the term “Cool Beans”   No bidders.  Gwyneth Paltrow things it’s a great name.  And not Godaddy but I don’t list Flippa names much anymore so I thought I would throw it in since its a great name.  Literally     Already getting a few good bids.  It takes a super strong keyword to make a good dot io and this has one     I think of prairie home alliance.  Actually would be a shortener for them    Sounds like they are going to solve some problems   Aaron and I will run it   Don’t know why its this high  Used to be an amusement park in Japan until someone died on the rollercoaster in 2007 and then nobody came   There are certain words you should use in a real estate listing.  Learn them here Going to hit a big big price Will sell for more than $15K. Crazy crazy price. A boat I missed and let pass by I like it just because it rhymes

Other Godaddy Domains With Bids

Namejet Auction

If you see HDKN as a bidder today you can be assured that this account has made a bid is just below the reserve price.  If  you want the name and bid you will meet reserve.  But its not natural and blatantly obvious.  I know because there I’ve tested it (actually wanted one of the names)   Good place to list your Buy it Now names   I think like this are good value right now. My opinion only.  One of the HDKN names I talked about.  But still a nice name   Everyone loves tortillas The guys one Sherpa thought it was good.  I don’t like the word kiddie.  I’ve never sold a hiking name but I have a few like   A lot of hikers around the world and their passionate about their hobby.  Those are the kinds of names I like to own. Passionate hobbiest

I am saying he/she is not letting it flow naturally. They are putting in a bid right below reserve and some how know the reserve. They are probably telling themselves that it is not a problem because if people want to pay the next bid price then that is their choice. And if they didn’t then it wouldn’t sell anyway. But its still not natural

For some reason, this post is not showing up on the homepage. It appears this has been the case for several other posts and I missed all of them 🙁

  3. Peter at $898 ?!?!
And an Automatic Bid at that!!!
Bidder has to be named Gugei, only way this can make any sense.
