Domain Shane’s Daily List of Domains at Auction for Friday February 28th, 2020

Escrow.com

Today is a very special day. It’s my wife’s 50th birthday. Unlike my Mom, she doesn’t read this. Probably tired of reading the BS that I spew each day. But I will write it for you because it explains me a little. To show you that the guy you read each day is a real person but a person that was created 25 years ago when I met my wife.

The confident, hard working person didn’t exist when I met my wife. There but hidden deep. I was a child. A man but a child. No responsibilities. Nothing to offer anyone else. I was living for the next day. That changed when I met Stacey. She let me know right off the bat that she was the best number two I’ll ever meet. Her words, not mine. I didn’t know what that meant at the time but I do now. She is that person that makes your team incredible. Does all the work but is always second in charge. Stays out of the limelight. I have never seen her take a picture unless asked. She doesn’t want to be acknowledged and generally doesn’t need to be. She wants your actions to show appreciation and that’s enough. She is the person that roots you on but keeps you in your place. Fifty great jobs and every once in a while a scolding. You can have all the glory if you don’t take her for granted.

I will have been married for 25 years this year. I can barely remember my childhood because so many great memories have filled my mind in the second half of my life. Many men will switch out to a younger model but that’s because they don’t have a wife that looks like a younger model. They don’t have a wife that helps draw out the boxes before you figure out how to check them. We’ve had the pet, we’ve raised the kid, we’ve built our businesses. We’ve done what you’re supposed to do. Now its time to have some fun. Healthy, hot and 50 is a pretty damn good starting line for the rest of our lives.

So Happy Birthday to my best friend Stacey. Thank you for being you and making me …me.

  1. Happy Birthday. Glad you realize what you have 🙂
Luckiest day of my life was meeting my wife 🙂

  2. The beginning made me think of my favorite bible verse:
“When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

  3. Happy Birthday Stacey! We really know who keeps Shane in line and grounded. Shane, congrats on 25 years!

  4. Happy Birthday to your wife. And Happy Anniversary on 25 years. Maybe your best post ever. Congrats on living a blessed life, with a blessed wife.
